The Washington - based “World Bank Group” has presented a report entitled “Doing Business - Measuring Business Regulations” to Mr. S.Bayartsogt, the Executive Director of the Governmental Administration. Present at the meeting were the US Ambassador to Mongolia, Ms. Jennifer Galt, the Representative of the “World Bank”, Mr. James Anderson, and the representative of the International “Finance Corporation”, Mr. Tuyen Nguyen.

The Mongolia previously stood in 59th place out of 189 countries. This year, Mongolia stands in 56th place, and occupies 6th place in Asia-Pacific region. Singapore, currently leads the report. Mr. Tuyen Nguyen noted that: “As a result of the fact that Mongolia has done so much, in order to improve the business environment, the Mongolian rating is constantly improving in the “Doing Business Report”.

Mr. S.Bayartsogt said: “Standing on 56th, and 6th in the region is the good indication. We have possibilities to increase Mongolian rank, by improving the business condition in Mongolia. The Parliament has not approved the two main law projects yet to facilitate the business condition. They are “Law about Permission” and “Law about Controlling”. Mongolia has viability to stand in first 50 places, after these laws approved”.
