On 10th December, 21 political parties demonstated on “Sovereignity Square”. They are demonstrating under the slogun “Elections without Black Machine Cheating” and a placard demanding that election votes should be counted manually and recorded on camera.
The next election will be organised in accordance with the 2011 “Electoral Law”, unless Parliament approves the draft electoral legislation which has been submitted. These parties are demanding that the next election be organized under a new electoral law and not the current legislation.
As a protest, the party representatives have burned an automatic vote counting machine on the “Sovereignity Square”, and marched to the deliver their demands to the Parliament, the President and the Prime Minister of Mongolia.
