On Wednesday 23rd December, the BudgetStanding Committee held a meeting in which the members accepted the additional changes to the “Economic Transparency Law” by a majority of votes. The additional changes included extending the deadlines of the law until 20th February 2016.
Parliament set theoriginal deadline of 31st December, when the law project was approved in August 2015. The Government took a long time in debating and approving various issues related to the “Economic Transparency Law”. These lasted up till 10thOctober.Therefore, because of the late implementation;many people have been requesting that the deadline be put back.
