On 29th December, the President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj, Parliamentary Speaker, Z.Enkhbold, Prime Minister Ch.Saikhanbileg and other officials particpated in a wreath laying ceremony at the Statue of the State Seal, which is located in the gardens behind Government House.
The ceremony took place, to mark the 104th anniversary of the “Day of the National Freedom and Sovereignity”.
The State Seal Statue is designed with a tiger as the handle. Around it are other smaller statues of the four historical Mongolian state seals, namely, the seal of “Great Mongolian Empire”, the seal of the “Empire of the Bogd Khaan”, the seal of the “Republic of Mongolia” which was established in 1924, and the current seal of Mongolia which was established by the 1992 Constitution.
On the marble base of the State Stamp Statue, the stamps of the 168 Mongolian tribes are carved in relief.
