The World Aviation Forum of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has taken place in Montreal, Canada. The Mongolian delegation was led by G.Nyamdavaa, who is the acting-director of the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of Mongolia. The theme of the forum was “Aviation Partnerships for Sustainable Development”.
During the forum, P.Ganbold, the Director of the National Air Traffic Services of the GCAA made a speech entitled “Mongolian air navigation services, capacity and implemented projects”. P.Ganbold used the phrase“North Pass”, to explain that “Mongolia is connecting North East and South East Asia with Europe and North America, by means of safe air traffic”.
The ICAO expressed appreciation for the attention the Mongolian Governmental is placing on improving the aviation infra-structures, and active operations. The ICAO also noted that “Mongolia is an important country which has a special role in connecting Asia with Europe”.
