On 14th March, a political consultative meeting between the Foreign Ministries of Mongolia and Germany was held in Berlin. This was attended by Mongolian representatives led by D.Gankhuyag, who is the State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; the German delegation was headed by Ambassador Dr Norbert Riedel, Regional Director for Asia-Pacific regional director at the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
During the consultative meeting, the two sides discussed and exchanged opinions regarding the current levels of cooperation in the fields of politics, the economy, culture and education. Also discussed were Mongolia’s new “National Neutrality Policy”, preparation for the forthcoming ASEM Summit, cooperation at the United Nations and in the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe and also in strengthening safety and security in North East Asia.
