U.Bolortuya, goalkeeper of the Mongolian National Girls’ U14 Football Team has won the best goalkeeper prize of the East Asian Football Championship.
An international competition for girls, under the age of 15 was organized for the first time in the East Asian Football Federation on April 16-21 in Shanghai, China. It was also the first official competition for the Mongolian girls’ team. Ten teams from East Asia participated in the tournament; the Mongolian team played three games, collecting four scores.
Mongolian female referees E.Khuslenzaya and Ts.Oyundari worked in the tournament. The President of the Mongolian Football Federation A.Ganbaatar, as a member of the Governing Board of EAFF, presented some of the prizes to the winners. A EAFF Coaching Course has been conducted in conjunction to the EAFF U-15 Girls Tournament; this was attended by two Mongolians, A.Jargalmaa and B.Chinzorig.
